Trailer for MAC
Free, open-source Mac menu bar app that tracks GitHub pull requests and issues across repositories, with notifications for comments and merges.
Trailer Overview
Trailer is a Mac menu bar app that keeps track of GitHub pull requests and issues across your repositories. It sorts items into sections such as Mine, Participated, Mentioned, Merged and Closed, can show labels and CI status updates, and uses Notification Center to tell you about comments, merges and status changes. The menu bar item turns red when you have unread comments, and selecting an item, notification or comment opens it on GitHub.
To set it up you need a GitHub account and an API token that you create and paste into the quick-start window. Trailer lists all your watched repositories, so the developer suggests changing each repository's display settings in Preferences to reduce notification noise and speed up syncing. It is free and open source under the MIT license and is made by Paul Tsochantaris. Version 1.9.0 is a macOS-only release with no new features but many functional and performance improvements, and the developer states that AI tools were used in the work. It is a universal app for Apple Silicon and Intel. It needs macOS 15.6 or later; version 1.8.11 ran on macOS 11 and up.
